Summit Collected 200 Toys for Kids in North Jacksonville
The toys were given out in the Oceanway Neighborhood in North Jacksonville, on December 23rd. Marc and Nicole Padgett were there to help hand out toys directly to the kids, along with their daughter, Lexi. There was a parade through the neighborhood with Santa, firefighters, firetrucks, and police officers that ended at the community center where they have a party with snacks and hand out toys.
This event was started in 2009 by a police officer, and Jacksonville City Councilman Al Ferraro has since taken over coordinating.
THANK YOU to everyone who brought in a toy. We had 2 large overflowing bins – we don't have an exact count, but estimate at least 200 toys!
