JACKSONVILLE, FL, OCTOBER 9, 2018: Summit Contracting Group, a Multifamily General Contractor with offices in Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, GA, has started construction on Lofts at Jefferson Station, an affordable housing community in the LaVilla neighborhood of Downtown Jacksonville, FL. This is the third project Summit is building in LaVilla with the same developer, Vestcor. The first project, Lofts at LaVilla, was 100% leased when it opened in early 2018. Construction on the second project, Lofts at Monroe, is scheduled to be complete in Fall 2018.
Lofts at Jefferson Station will consist of 133 units in 1 building that has 4 levels of wood frame above 1 level that includes parking. The total square footage is 149,472. Amenities include a covered parking garage, controlled access, fitness center, internet café, club room with kitchen, and an outdoor amenity space on the second level. Construction has started and will be complete in Fall 2019. The developer is Vestcor and the architect is Group 4 Design, Inc.
