Construction Started on Phase III of West Village in Northwest Metro Atlanta
APRIL 30, 2019:
Real estate developer Branch Properties, LLC, and general contractor Summit Contracting Group, have begun the third phase of a mixed-use residential development on 50 acres in northwest metro Atlanta.
“West Village is a vibrant, master-planned community being developed to serve the burgeoning rental market in affluent Cobb County,” said Jack Haylett, Senior Vice President of Branch Properties. “We continue to remain active on the multifamily front in communities where there is strong demand for thoughtful development and quality construction.”
Phase III of West Village, located in Cobb County, Ga., a bedroom community northwest of Atlanta, will include 313 apartments and 470 parking spaces on nine acres. The apartments will range in size from 660-square-foot studios to 1,484-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath apartments. Branch Properties is the owner and developer, and Summit Contracting Group is the general contractor.
West Village has succeeded in large part due to Cobb County’s thriving economy and 10.8% population growth since 2010. Branch Properties assembled the 50-acre site in 2005, developing 292 Class A multifamily units and 68,000 square feet of retail in the first phase of construction.
Amenities will include a 3,000-square-foot public library, as well as a fitness center, dog park, pool and courtyard for residents. Construction is expected to be complete in early 2021 with the first group of apartment units coming on the market in Spring 2020.

Construction Starts on Luxury Apartments in Jacksonville’s Booming Southside Area

Summit Contracting Group has started construction on Fusion Rental Community, a market rate multifamily development. The property is located at Baymeadows Road East in Jacksonville’s Southside, across from 9A/Baymeadows Regional Park.
“This is the fourth project we have built as the general contractor in this Southside Jacksonville neighborhood,” says Marc Padgett, Summit’s President. “This area is continuing to see high demand for amenity-rich apartments like these, with large community areas for relaxing and entertaining, but still in close reach to everything Jacksonville has to offer.”
Fusion will consist of 384 high-end apartment units in two wood frame buildings with a five story parking garage. Resort-style amenities include a swimming pool, pavilion, clubhouse, fitness center, leasing office, play area, dog park, and car care area. Construction is planned to be complete in late 2020. The owner is Fusion Rental Community, LLC and the architect is Group 4 Design, Inc.
Construction Started on Assisted Living Community in Valdosta, GA

Summit Contracting Group, has started construction of The Canopy at Azalea Grove, an Assisted Living Community located in Valdosta, Georgia. Summit completed construction in August on a similar ‘Canopy’ community in Lake City, FL called The Canopy at Harper Lake, and is currently building The Canopy on Berryhill in Pace, FL and The Canopy at Warner Robins, GA.
The Canopy at Azalea Grove will consist of 64 units in one two-story building, and will include units for Assisted Living and Memory Care. The net square footage is 49,488. Amenities include a commercial kitchen, salon/spa, interior community spaces, courtyards, and maintenance building. Construction is planned to be complete in February 2020. The developer is Rimrock Companies and the architect is Group 4 Design, Inc.
Students Tour Summit Project Site in Jacksonville

Summit hosted a tour for a group a students from the UNF Construction Management Program.
They got a closeup look at our project under construction at the corner of Kernan and Beach Blvd in Jacksonville. This apartment development will consist of 301 units in 17 buildings with clubhouse, carriage-house garages, and high-end amenities.
The tour was led by Tacy McGinty, a Division Manager at Summit, who has 25 years in the industry. She started her career in architecture and through that discovered her love of construction:

Summit Contracting Group has started construction on Luxury Apartments at eTown, a market rate multifamily development in South Jacksonville, FL.
Luxury Apartments at eTown will consist of 332 high-end units in seven buildings. Amenities include a leasing center, clubhouse, mail kiosk, swimming pool, fitness center, business center, dog wash area, dog park, grilling stations with fire pits, and a walking trail along a lakefront. Construction is planned to be complete in the Spring of 2020.

Summit Contracting Group has started construction for Allure on Parkway, apartments with exceptional lifestyle amenities, at International Parkway in Sanford, FL.
Allure on Parkway will consist of 290 units in one building, with total square footage of 344,128. Community amenities include a parking garage, clubhouse, fitness center, dog park, two enclosed courtyards, and resort-style pool. Construction is planned to be complete in Fall 2020.
Summit hosted a BBQ lunch to mark the Topping Out of Theory West Midtown in Atlanta, GA. This student housing project will have 525 beds in two five-story wood frame buildings on a concrete podium, with first floor retail shops, and parking garage. The total square footage is 385,917 with 10,500 square feet of dedicated retail space on Marietta Street. Additional luxury amenities will include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, business center, study areas, package locker system, rooftop terrace, and bike storage. Construction is scheduled to be complete in Summer of 2019.

Construction Complete on Second 'Lofts' Project Downtown Jacksonville

Summit Contracting Group is pleased to announce the completion of Lofts at Monroe, an Affordable Housing Multifamily development in Downtown Jacksonville. This is the second ‘Lofts’ project Summit has completed in the LaVilla Neighborhood. Lofts at LaVilla was completed last December 2017, and a third project called Lofts at Jefferson Station, is currently under construction.

Summit Supports I Ride With Steve - a Veteran's 3,000 Mile Bicycle Trek Across America

60 year old disabled veteran, Steve Hughes, rode his bicycle from California to Florida to raise awareness and money for veteran service organizations. He started in September and has completed his cross country bicycle ride here in Jacksonville on Sunday, November 18th.

Summit volunteers helped cheer Steve across the finish line along with WRH Realty at Ciel Luxury Apartments that are currently under construction. In conjunction with the finish line celebration, 20 local children received free bicycles that were built at the event by volunteers.
