Summit Contracting Group Raised $8,500 in School Supplies for Jacksonville Non-Profits

This year for Summit’s second annual drive, donations were delivered to Sulzbacher, Hubbard House and The Boys and Girls Club. 

JACKSONVILLE, FL, AUGUST 21, 2018: Summit Contracting Groupwww.summit-contracting.com, has completed their second annual school supply drive with a final tally of materials valuing $8,500. With donations from Summit, it’s employees, tenants in Summit Tower at 1000 Riverside Avenueand the Jacksonville community, they were able to collect enough supplies for 400+ school children.   

“I believe that every child in Jacksonville should have the proper school equipment to achieve an education. Here at Summit, we’re determined to make sure no child falls behind in school due to circumstances they cannot control. I am proud to know that Summit was able to provide for 400+ children in non-profit centers within the Jacksonville community. This year, the recipients were expanded from 1 to 3 organizations: Sulzbacher Village, Hubbard House and Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.

The first supply drop off was to Sulzbacher Village, www.sulzbacherjax.org, where Summit recently completed construction. Summit donated to Sulzbacher last year for the first annual school supply drive, and this year contributed close to 300 backpacks, thousands of pens, crayons, and more. Sulzbacher Village is a mixed-use multifamily development that provides permanent housing for homeless women and families, health care, classes and more for the community.   

The second drop was to Hubbard Housewww.hubbardhouse.org, a full-service domestic violence center that currently serves 30-50 children in need of school suppliesSummit’s donation included 50 backpacks, 200 foldersnotebooks, cleaning supplies and enough pens and pencils to supply the kids in the center for a good portion of the school year 

The donations did not stop there. Summit extended the giving to also provide for Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, www.bgcnf.org, a center that specializes in enabling all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.  

Summit is dedicated to making a positive impact in the Jacksonville community and they look forward to raising even more next year.
