JACKSONVILLE, FL, NOVEMBER 25, 2019: Summit Contracting Group, a Multifamily General Contractor with offices in Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, GA, has started a new multifamily project called Lofts at Brooklyn. This is the fourth “Lofts” development that Summit has constructed, and this one will include affordable housing as well as workforce housing units.
Construction has begun for Lofts at Brooklyn located in the Brooklyn neighborhood between Riverside and Downtown Jacksonville, and it is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020. It will consist of 133 units in one five story building that is four stories of wood frame over a concrete podium and total square footage of 184,422. Amenities will include a fitness center, internet café, club room with kitchen and TVs, resident lounge with billiards, dog walk area, covered parking and controlled access. The project is being developed by Vestcor and the architect is Group 4 Design, Inc.
Summit is currently finishing up the construction for Lofts at Jefferson Station; Lofts at Monroe was completed October 2018; and Lofts at LaVilla was completed in November 2017.
