Construction has begun for The Waves and is scheduled to be complete in early 2021. The new construction is on eight separate residential blocks east of the Jacksonville Beach Golf Club. It will consist of 128 units in 16 two story buildings and total square footage of 154,835. Amenities will include mail kiosks, trash enclosures and a maintenance building. The project is being developed by Vestcor in partnership with the Jacksonville Housing Authority and the architect is Group 4 Design, Inc.
