Construction of Elevate West Village began in January 2019 was completed in March 2021. This project is Phase III of the West Village mixed-use development; Summit completed construction of Phase II for the developer, Branch Properties, in 2011.
“Summit is proud to present this impressive structure and beautiful apartment homes to the owner and surrounding neighborhood. This project had complex logistics to maneuver in bustling Cobb County with existing neighbors and adjacent townhouses being constructed. It was also delivered on time, which in the wake of many delays the construction industry has seen over the past year, was a demonstration of our project team’s dedication and commitment. Special thanks to Jack Haylett from Branch Properties, Jim Fredrickson from The Preston Partnership, and Zach Graham our Division Manager leading the project for Summit.”
– Marc Padgett, President, Summit Contracting Group
This is a high density build with a 5/6 split level wood frame over concrete podium, and wrap around a six-level parking garage. There was an elevation difference of about 22 feet from the lowest basement level to the highest floor elevation.
Summit was also contracted to complete the site work for all the surrounding roadways, sidewalks, and infrastructure for 36 luxury townhouse lots. Summit worked in conjunction with the townhouse construction flanking two sides of the project, an occupied townhouse community on the hillside above the job, as well as the busy, thriving West Village property which contains restaurants, businesses, and hundreds of residents.
PROJECT TEAM: Branch Properties is the owner and developer, The Preston Partnership is the architect, and Summit Contracting Group is the general contractor.
